Japanese Yen Exchange Rate Fell to Below 100 Per 1 USD

Hey everyone, as you probably remember me saying, I used to live in Japan from 2001 to 2004 when I was in the US Navy. Around that time, the exchange rate for the Japanese Yen was around 123 to the US Dollar, meaning you received about 123 Yen for each US Dollar. The real rate of exchange was higher, but you have to figure in fees at the ATM and elsewhere, so 123 was what I remember.

This morning, I got up and to my surprise the exchange rate had fallen to just under 100. Here is a screenshot of what I saw:

If you look at a one year chart, you will see the rate and how it fell from over 124 to where it is now, which represents a drop of over 18%:

I look forward to reading what you all have to say about this. It’s very odd to be seeing the Japanese Yen making such gains against the United States dollar.

By the way, a MAJOR Iraqi Dinar dealer has been hacked since June and they haven’t told anyone! A few of us in the dinar community know about it, so I put this video out, and was threatened, you watch it and let me know your thoughts:

  1. Hi Nick,
I thank you for the information you have been providing us. My question to you is regarding the previous email, where the dinar is dropping a few zeros in their currency. Does it in any way reflect a currency change, or merely a physical monetary change in notes?
    Thank you.
